Art Week 36

Vesthimmerland Refugee Centres


Art Week 36 is a welcoming space for play, learning, and cultural exchange – a place where art connects people across generations, backgrounds, and experiences in Ranum. We are proud to present a programme bursting with activities:

  • Workshops with visual artist RA Kajol, exploring his concept of “Traffic Art” through visual interventions in traffic pathways that make us reconsider our movement in space.

  • Sessions with the creative writing group “Open Your Window”, who will explore the theme of “Shadows” with poet, writer and  human rights activist Murshida Zaman

  • The performance “Hipnoidal”, an evocative fusion of butoh dance, shadow theatre, and live music, exploring boundaries between the human, the non-human, and memory, by Pierina Lategola, Ada Gómiz, and Tatiana Zuccolotto.


The programme is realised through the joint effort of an amazing team of residents, artists, teachers, culture workers, and staff at Ranum Asylcenter.

lím collective is an experimental platform in North Jutland exploring the intersections of contemporary art, cultural organising, and care. Art Week 36 is part of our collaborative programme with Vesthimmerland Asyl, developing cultural initiatives with residents and artists that focus on cultural exchange and creative community building.The programme is kindly supported by Vesthimmerland Asyl, Ranum Efterskole, Multikulturhuset Ranum, Roskilde Festival Group and Augustinus Foundation.
